About

I am a Registered Psychologist and have been practicing in Calgary since 2006. I am a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists and the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.

I have been very fortunate in my career to gain experience in many areas. In my graduate program and early in my practice, I had the opportunity to work with children and families. I had wonderful mentors who helped me to learn about child development and the impact of conflict on the family system. I taught Parenting After Separation for Alberta Justice for almost a decade. I have extensive experience in private practice, employee and family assistance work, and community health settings.

In addition to my private practice, I work with Student Wellness Services at the University of Calgary. Over the course of my career, I have dedicated myself to facilitating meaningful change. People want to make the most of their lives; therapy can help them to do it.

The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of any counselling process. There is no one-size-fits all and no two therapies are alike. The client should feel heard, respected and understood. A therapist should provide a safe forum for examining psychological problems, feelings, and behaviors. I want my clients to be real with me; I am real with them.

If you would like to discuss working together, please contact me. I am happy to have a brief phone call to discuss your needs, my approach, and whether we would like to schedule a consultation session. I want the best outcomes for people. If I am not a good fit, I will help you to find another qualified professional who is.
